If you look above you will see I finally got a "good" backup of the system after moving all my movies and other media to my SD card..
As of today the Tiamat Kernel can now be installed via the recovery manager. I downloaded the new ZIP, placed it on my SD card and clicked install via the menu. Thats it! Done. Ah life is good.
If history is an indicator of the future I can guess I will be loading a new theme via the manager in a day or two... if not sooner.
